Singing for Pleasure
Singing is for Pleasure, so you don’t need a good singing voice to come and join in our sessions. You don’t even have to sing if you don’t want to! Just come and join in and experience the joy singing brings to People with Dementia.
Music and social interaction have a positive impact on anyone's mood, but for People with Dementia, the impact is huge.
It has been demonstrated that music can help reduce some of the most common symptoms of Dementia, such as agitation, apathy and anxiety.
Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday we offer our Members the opportunity to join 1 hour full of fun and joy, singing along with our professional singers.
Each session starts with a 30-minutes chat while enjoying a warm cup of tea or coffee and some delicious biscuits.

“Gloria and I have really enjoyed attending the Singing for Pleasure in Windsor. It has done her a great deal of good in coping with her dementia and we both look forward to our Tuesday afternoon sessions. One could not wish for a more cheerful and friendly group of volunteers, who make one so welcome and encourage us all to sing our hearts out! Their enthusiasm ensures there is a great atmosphere amongst all who attend. Many, many thanks to you all for the work you do. Here is to many more Tuesdays! “ Malcolm ( and on behalf of Gloria)
