Seated Exercises

We are pleased to offer Seated Exercises sessions for People with Dementia, Carers and Former Carers. A specially designed set of seated exercises that are simple to do, fun and will give your muscles a gentle but firm workout.

There is no dress code, just come as you are, the exercises are simple to do, fun and will give your muscles a gentle but firm workout.

MAIDENHEAD - every Monday from 11:00 - 11:45 at the Methodist Church, High Street, Maidenhead, SL6 1EF.

LANGLEY - every Tuesday from 10:30 - 11:45 at St Francis Church, London Road, Langley, SL3 7LN.

ASCOT - every Thursday from 13:30 - 14:45 at King Edwards Hall, Chapel of St Mary & St John, King Edwards Road, Ascot, SL5 8PD.

FAQ

Q. What should I wear?

A. Something that allows you to move comfortably. Layers are a good idea as you can remove them once you get warmed up. 

Q. Do I need trainers?

A. If you have them, but comfortable flat shoes will do. 

Q. Do I need to bring equipment?

A. Exercise bands will be provided. It is advisable to bring a water bottle, especially in the warmer months.  

Q. What about if I can’t keep up or get out of breath? 

A. Go at your own pace. Take rests when you need them and join back in when you are ready. Everyone’s abilities are different and it is not a competition. 

Q. I have a bad back/knee/shoulders?

A. When you attend the first session you will be given an assessment questionnaire to complete. Please make the instructor aware of any aliments so they can guide you to appropriate exercises.
You should always seek your GP’s advice before taking up exercise.
