Services Directory
Members are very welcome to attend our regular services with their Carer. Other than Out & About and special events, we do not charge for the sessions, but do welcome donations. Please check the Services Directory for the details of the ‘ADS’ services this month and our Community Page for information on how to become a Member.
Membership
Monthly Newsletters
Delivered either in paper format or online, containing a host of interesting articles, latest Dementia news and advice, Calendar of events (for the month ahead) and contact details for ‘ADS’ team members plus much, much more…….
Full ‘ADS’ Website Access:
Providing access to all areas of the website to include the ‘Members only’ section.
Our full range of services include
Advocacy
Specialist support from a member of the highly skilled ‘ADS’ team to aid communication and understanding of anything related to Dementia.
Two Dedicated Telephone Support Lines
Access to rapid response for ‘one-off’ questions of concern, in ‘Emergency’ situations.
Alzheimer Café’s
Monthly session in a relaxed atmosphere, offering access to Medical and Local interest presentations, delivered by specialist speakers.
Information, Guidance, Support and Sign-Posting
Specialist support from a member of the highly skilled ‘ADS’ team to guide and support access to all available local services (NHS, Council and Social Services etc.).
Zoom Support Communications
Some services are available to access online. E.G. ‘Carer Chats’, ‘Volunteer Chats’, ‘One-to-One Support’ and ‘Singing for Pleasure’.
Specialist Training
To support the wider community in their understanding and appreciation of Dementia and its effects on the lives of individuals.
One To One Support
Private and Confidential advice offered, by prior appointment, with one of the highly skilled ‘ADS’ team advisors.
Home Visits
By prior arrangement and wherever practical.
Befriending
Support provided by a small group of trained Volunteers who are ‘matched’ to offer friendship and support to People Living with Dementia, (offering some respite for Carers).
