She has lived in Maidenhead for the majority of her life and in joining ADS, relishes the opportunity to work with such a dedicated and passionate team and to use her experience to support her local community..

Terriehelped care for her Mother who suffered from Alzheimer’s. While caring for her Mother, she discovered that there was little or no support available to help, her, her Mum or others in her family. This spurred Terrie into taking action. In 2006, Terrie joined The Alzheimer’s Society to provide support, guidance and advice to people suffering from Dementia and their carers.
In January 2012, Terrie joined the team at Alzheimers Dementia Support (‘ADS’) as an Advisor and she is committed to guiding and supporting sufferers and their loved ones who are affected by this cruel disease in our local community.

Sandra joined ‘ADS’ in 2012, launching our popular Out & About Service. She had previously worked as a PA before joining a local care home, leading their activity programme, which included regular outings. She had previously worked as a PA before joining a local care home, leading their activity programme, which included regular outings. She went onto specialise in delivering meaningful activities for people with advanced Dementia for a further 4 years, before joining “ADS”.

Sandra is passionate about the needs of those challenged with Dementia.  “It is a wonderful to bring moments of joy whilst leading Out & About.  Whether the moment is remembered is of no importance.  Raising spirits, providing mental stimulation, fun and laughter, whilst out together, is the aim. Knowing that the valiant carers of our people with Dementia are benefiting from a few hours of respite is the icing on the cake”

Santok has been supporting carers in the community by providing information, support and advice for the past 16 years. Her understanding of the level and type of support needed comes from her personal experience in helping with the care of her elderly mother, who has been suffering with Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease, for the past six years.

Santok speaks Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and English and her first-hand experience has made her very passionate, committed and dedicated to helping carers and their loved ones.

Dee and her family have lived in the Maidenhead area for over 50 years. With a professional qualification in human resource management, Dee’s career spans 3 decades as a Human Resource consultant working for both small and large corporate organisations. 

Dee’s own father suffered from vascular dementia, she also has other family members with dementia and this motivated her to join the ADS team in October 2020.

Andreea is a creative marketing specialist who built her career working for 8 years in Brand Management and in her spare time, focussed on social media marketing and graphic design.

Having lived in Maidenhead all her life Rebecca has almost 30 years experience within the retail sector.In a prior role, she came into contact on a daily basis, not only with people with Dementia but also their carers and families and could see how this disease affected people both emotionally and physically.

I became a Dementia Friend and volunteered at ‘ADS’ before deciding to use my retail experience and desire to help, to raise awareness and support for those affected by this disease within our local community.
